PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED FOR VOTING
At the Government Accountability Website myvote.wi.gov you can register to vote, check your voter registration status, find your polling place, see your sample ballot, request an absentee ballot (military and permanent overseas voters only), and check provisional ballot status. Voters can Register on the day of the Election with proper information and qualifications to vote at the Polling Place.
If you wish to absentee vote in person – Contact Clerk/Treasurer at 715-933-2331 or dovrebarronco@citizens-tel.net to make an appointment to vote. If you are not a Registered Voter in the Town of Dovre, you must bring Proof of Residence and complete a Registration Form prior to Voting by Absentee Ballot. To qualify to vote you must be 18 years of age and have resided in the Town of Dovre for 28 days prior to the Election Date and have Proof of Residence.

According to Wis. Stats. 5.84(1) Testing Equipment, the electronic voting equipment must be tested at a public meeting. The DS200 and Expressvote electronic voting system which utilize automatic tabulating equipment will be tested at the Town of Dovre, 304 25 1/2 ST, Chetek, WI 54728 on Thursday, March 29, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. The test is open to the public.

Notice of Location and Hours of Polling Place
At the Spring Election to be held on April 4th, 2023, in the Town of Dovre of Barron County, the following polling place locations will be used for the wards indicated:
Town of Dovre Ward 1 – Town Hall, 304 25 ½ Street.

Notice of Meeting of the Local and Municipal Board of Canvassers (MBOC)
At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. § 19.84, the Election Inspectors will convene as a joint meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers and the MBOC for the purpose of conducting the local and municipal canvasses pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§7.51 and 7.53(1). This meeting will be open to the public pursuant to Wis. Stat. §§ 19.81-89.

Election Details
There will be an election to be held in the Town of Dovre on Tuesday, April 4,2023. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed:

Office Terms
All terms are for two years beginning on Tuesday, April 18, 2022.
Caucus for Candidates
Between December 1st, 2022 and January 1st, 2023 a date for the town caucus will be scheduled to nominate candidates to appear on the spring election ballot for the above listed offices. The caucus will be held between January 2nd and January 21st. Notice of the scheduled date of the caucus will be given at least five (5) days before the caucus.
Additional Information
Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
