At the Government Accountability Website myvote.wi.gov <\/strong>you can register to vote, check your voter registration status, find your polling place, see your sample ballot, request an absentee ballot (military and permanent overseas voters only), and check provisional ballot status.  Voters can Register on the day of the Election with proper information and qualifications to vote at the Polling Place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 If you wish to absentee vote in person – Contact Clerk\/Treasurer at 715-933-2331 or dovrebarronco@citizens-tel.net to make an appointment to vote. If you are not a Registered Voter in the Town of Dovre, you must bring Proof of Residence and complete a Registration Form prior to Voting by Absentee Ballot.  To qualify to vote you must be 18 years of age and have resided in the Town of Dovre for 28 days prior to the Election Date and have Proof of Residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 August Partisan Primary will be held on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026, in the Town of Dovre, at 304 25 \u00bd St, Chetek, WI 54728.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All polling places will open at 7:00 A.M. and will close at 8:00 P.M. All polling places are accessible to elderly and voters with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voter Registration- Deadlines for the August 11, 2026 Partisan Primary Voters can register in the following ways. All voters must provide a Proof of Residence document when registering to vote by mail, in-person in the clerk\u2019s office, or at the polls on Election Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
July 22, 2026- Deadline to Register by Mail – Your voter registration form, along with proof of residence must be postmarked to your municipal clerk no later than July 22, 2026. Find your Municipal Clerk\u2019s Contact Information here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
July 22, 2026- Deadline to Register to vote online. – Voters who are able to match their name, date of birth, Wisconsin Driver License or State ID number, and address with the Wisconsin DMV can register to vote online through July 22, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
August 7, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline to Register in Your Municipal Clerk\u2019s Office- Voters may register in-person in their municipal clerk\u2019s office during the clerk\u2019s business hours until 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2026. August 11, 2026, from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Register to Vote at Your Polling Place- Voters can register to vote at their polling place on Election Day, August 11, 2026. Find your Polling Place here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Absentee Voting- Deadlines for the August 11, 2026 Partisan Primary All voters in Wisconsin can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for any reason. Voters must be registered before they can request an absentee ballot. Voters may request their absentee ballot in writing. To request an absentee ballot on MyVote.wi.gov click here. You must provide a photo ID with your absentee ballot request, more information on photo ID can be found here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
June 25, 2026 – Deadline for municipal clerks to send absentee ballots to voters with an active request already on file- Municipal clerks can begin mailing absentee ballots once official ballots are received and have until June 25, 2026 to send ballots to all voters with a request on file by that day. Requests received from voters after June 25, 2026 must be fulfilled within one business day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
August 6, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot- Regular and Overseas Voters- If you are a regular or an Overseas Voter, your absentee ballot request must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 6, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
August 7, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot- Indefinitely Confined and Military- If a voter is Indefinitely Confined or military and not away from home, your absentee ballot request must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
July 28, 2026, possibly through August 9, 2026 – In-Person Absentee Voting period- Voters can possibly request and vote an absentee ballot in-person in their municipal clerk\u2019s office through August 9, 2026. Office hours vary by municipality. Some municipal offices may not offer additional in-person absentee hours Check MyVote or contact your municipal clerk for absentee voting hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
August 11, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline for Hospitalized Voters- Voters who are in a hospital may request a ballot be brought to them by an appointed agent if they are hospitalized in the 7 days preceding the election. Hospitalized electors may request an absentee ballot between August 4, 2026 and August 11, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
August 11, 2026 @ 5:00 p.m.- Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot- Military, away If a voter is in the military and away from home, then your absentee ballot request must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 11, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
August 11, 2026 @ 8:00 p.m.- Deadline to Return Absentee Ballot- If you have already received an absentee ballot, you must return your absentee ballot by mail or delivery to your municipal clerk.
